Don Stokes is a partner in Latham & Watkins’ project development and finance team. He started his career in Dublin, London and New York over 23 years ago and has been working in Asia since 2010, having been based in Tokyo, Ho Chi Minh City, and Singapore.

Don advises on ESG matters and complex energy and infrastructure project development, investment, and finance transactions across Asia, particularly in energy transition and energy efficiency sectors. He has worked on renewable energy development projects and investments across the region and advised the Asian Development Bank and other lenders on the project bond financing of Tiwi-Makban geothermal power plant in the Philippines, which was Asia’s first certified climate bond.
