Cristobal Chin is the CEO of Chow Energy Public Company Limited and currently serves on its Board of Directors.

In his current role, Cristobal leads an operation which has successfully built sizeable solar portfolios of utility-scale and C&I rooftops in Japan and Thailand, respectively. Within his time in Chow Energy, notable achievements in Japan include the first synchronised utility-scale solar project in Japan for a Thai investor and subsequently bringing a total of circa 100mw to commercial operation. He played a leading role in the group’s strategic capital recycling policy in Japan, successfully conducting multiple M&A transactions exiting the portfolio to Japanese infrastructure funds and large conglomerates. Cristobal and Chow Energy’s focus is now firmly on the development and execution of their C&I solar rooftop portfolio in Thailand which recently attracted a 49% investment from Blackrock’s CFP fund.

Prior to his role in Chow Energy, Cristobal started his asset management and operations experience with the hotel management giant Intercontinental Hotels Group, namely in their Asia Australasia Resorts team. His time in IHG saw him hold corporate roles in Singapore and Bangkok in their regional offices as well as an on-site management role during the opening of the iconic 6* Intercontinental Danang Sun Peninsula resort in Vietnam.

Cristobal grew up in the UK and completed his education in London and has been living in Southeast Asia for 15 years
