Ehab is currently the Regional President for the Mars Wrigley Confectionery segment in Asia-Australia, Middle East & Africa and is a member of the Mars Wrigley Confectionery Board of Management. Ehab covers geography that is home to more than half of the world’s consumers and is the future growth engine globally. He is managing the full P&L of a business that is > USD 3 billion in RSV, more than 3000 associates and a broad footprint of manufacturing facilities. He joined Mars in 2000 and championed the company’s market entry into Egypt and then covered the North African and East Mediterranean region, leading 17 markets. In 2007, Ehab was appointed as the GM of Mars China where he transformed the business quadrupling its sales and accelerating its profits 5 times, turning China into a power house for the Mars Global Chocolate business. In 2011, he led the creation of the Asia Pacific region for the Chocolate segment.
Ehab started his career in Research & Development at Procter & Gamble in Saudi Arabia, and later played various roles within R&D around the world. He was a Group Manager in the European Technical Centre in Brussels, Belgium in charge of developing upstream global products, a Section Head in the Kobe Technical Center in Japan championing the product program and market entry for the Home Care segment in Asia Pacific, and Global Associate Director for Home Care Products, located in Brussels, Belgium.
Throughout his career, Ehab has developed experiences with a broad range of business situations (startups, turn arounds and sustaining success) in both the developed and emerging markets. He has built expertise in leading and engaging large complex organizations.
He is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Singapore American School and The President of Food Industry Asia.
Ehab is an Egyptian / Belgian citizen. He holds a B.Sc with Honours in Engineering from the American University in Cairo, following his graduation with the International Baccalaureate Diploma from the United World College of Lester Pearson in Canada.

With more than 20 years’ experience in Human Resource consulting, Ilya has worked with leading multinational companies to advise, design, deliver, and implement services and tools that allow them to make more informed decisions on strategic people issues.
Ilya’s experience includes multiple regional and global leadership roles. In combination, these provide for an extensive international background that encompasses all aspects of Mercer’s Career business services. Ilya joined Mercer in Australia in 1997 and soon after relocated to Singapore where he delivered on Asia Pacific regional responsibilities for five years. He then moved to Europe and was based in Geneva for 9 years before relocating to the US in 2015. Ilya has had responsibility for all markets from which Mercer delivers client consulting services. With his international background and through his client and business leadership roles, Ilya has been well placed to comment on current issues and emerging trends for Human Resources.
The issue top of mind for Ilya currently is digitization, which—along with business model disruption, automation, and AI—is accelerating the evolution of work. Rob Brainin is a global life sciences and healthcare executive with over twenty years of industry experience, with a strong focus on genomics and innovation. He currently serves as the CEO of WuXi NextCODE. In prior work experiences, Rob served as a General Manager across a variety of life sciences areas during his roles with Illumina, Life Technologies, Invitrogen, and Thermo Fisher.
His ambition is to optimize genomic technologies and information into real-life solutions, which has current and developing potential applications within healthcare. As health care systems, clinicians, researchers, therapeutic developers, foundations, patient families, and individuals seek to improve areas of genomic understanding, Rob seeks to help them take complex genomic information and make it actionable in a meaningful way.
He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Tumor Foundation, a foundation focused on driving research and seeking cures for Neurofibromatosis, a rare genetic disease that impacts 1 in 3,000 people, including his own daughter. Mr Chan Chun Sing is Minister for Trade and Industry, responsible for driving Singapore’s economic and industrial development. He was appointed to this role and as Minister-in-charge of the Public Service from 1 May 2018. Mr Chan is also Deputy Chairman of the People’s Association since 1 October 2015.
Mr Chan was Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) from 4 May 2015 to 22 May 2018. At NTUC, he expanded the Labour Movement network to represent all working people in Singapore, and led efforts to curate and deliver timely and relevant training for workers. Mr Chan also served as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office from 9 April 2015 to 30 April 2018, upon relinquishing his prior appointments as Minister for Social and Family Development (MSF) and Second Minister for Defence, both of which he had held since 1 September 2013. At MSF, he was responsible for improving social service delivery, enhancing social safety nets and strengthening support for families in Singapore.
His other previous appointments included Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports (21 May 2011 to 31 October 2012) and Minister of State for Information, Communications and the Arts (21 May 2011 to 31 July 2012).
Mr Chan served with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) from 1987 to 2011. He held various appointments, including Chief of Army (2010 to 2011), Chief of Staff, Joint Staff (2009 to 2010) and Commander 9th Division / Chief Infantry Officer (2007 to 2009). He left the SAF to run in the 2011 General Election and was elected Member of Parliament for Tanjong Pagar Group Representation Constituency (GRC).
Educated at the Raffles Institution (1982 to 1985) and Raffles Junior College (1986 to 1987), Mr Chan was awarded the SAF (Overseas) and President’s Scholarship to study Economics at Christ’s College, Cambridge University in the United Kingdom in 1988 and graduated with First Class Honours. Mr Chan was awarded the Distinguished Master Strategist Award 1998 by the US Army Command and Staff College. In 2005, he completed the Sloan Fellows Programme at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology under the Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship.
Born in 1969, Mr Chan is married with three children and enjoys reading and jogging.

Mr. Hu was previously the Chief Executive Officer of the South China Morning Post (“SCMP”) Group in Hong Kong since June 2012. Prior to his appointment at SCMP, Mr. Hu was Senior Executive Vice President, Chinese Newspapers Division and Newspaper Services Division of Singapore Press Holdings (“SPH”) for eight years, where he was responsible for managing the group’s three Chinese dailies, a bilingual free-sheet, events and exhibitions, retail and magazine operations and China business relations and development.
Mr. Hu also served as Managing Director (Global Business) of Singtel NCS Ltd. from August 2001 to June 2004. Mr. Hu gained earlier experience in China as the Regional Director (China) for the Singapore Economic Development Board based in Shanghai and Suzhou between 1995 and 1997 and in Beijing in 1998. During this time Mr. Hu was a Counsellor with the Embassy of Republic of Singapore (Beijing) between March 1998 and December 1999. Mr. Hu also served as SVP and Country GM of Asiacontent.com Ltd from January 2000 to June 2001.

Olav Kjørven is Chief Strategic Officer at EAT Foundation. In this role, Olav is part of EAT’s Senior Leadership team and provides strategic oversight to EAT’s policy work, leads engagement on global policy arenas, and guides EAT’s science and knowledge initiatives for maximum impact on food systems policies and practices.
Olav’s career spans political leadership roles for Norwegian development cooperation and several senior leadership posts at the United Nations. He led the Bureau for Development Policy of the United Nations Development Program for almost seven years, overseeing an international staff of some 360, programs delivering in the hundreds of millions every year, and policy work ranging from democratic governance to climate change. Throughout his career Olav has pursued every opportunity to increase global focus and commitment to sustainable development. This culminated in him playing a central role in the complex and highly political process that led to Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015, including organizing the largest global consultation ever undertaken by the UN with millions of people engaged. Since then, it has been about mobilizing for action–at the UN, with governments, the private sector and civil society—and with a focus on children as Olav led UNICEF’s Division for Public Partnerships for the last three years.
Olav’s is widely recognized as a senior leader in sustainable development spanning 25 years. He is on the Board of Directors of the prestigious EARTH University in Costa Rica and on the Advisory Board for the Business for Peace Foundation and Initiative. He instigated and set up the Commission on the Legal Empowerment of the Poor, which produced its groundbreaking report “Making the Law Work for Everyone” in 2008, served as the UN Secretary General’s coordinator for the UN’s engagement in development with the G20, and co-led the UN system’s Task Team on the Post-2015 Development Agenda.

Dr Koh Poh Koon was appointed Minister of State at the Ministry of Trade & Industry (MTI) since 1 Jan 2016 and was promoted to Senior Minister of State on 1 May 2017. He was appointed Deputy Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress on 1 May 2018. He was previously also Senior Minister of State at the Ministry of National Development (MND).
At MTI, Dr Koh focuses on research and development, and Entrepreneurship matters, and is the patron of the Action Community for Entrepreneurship. He is involved in the implementation of the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering domain strategy under the Research, Innovation and Enterprise 2020 (RIE2020) plan. Dr Koh co-chairs two sub-committees under the Future Economy Council - manufacturing as well as trade and connectivity clusters. He also looks at consumer protection which addresses unfair business practices. In the area of trade and investment, Dr Koh oversees the development of Singapore's bilateral economic relations with Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Russia & Central Asia.
At MND, Dr Koh oversaw food security issues, including food safety and the development of local agriculture. The local agriculture sector plays a key role in Singapore’s food security. Championing the local farming industry, Dr Koh looked at how Singapore could become a “living lab” for urban farming solutions and new technologies, through Government support in technology adoption, and research and development.
In this regard, Dr Koh oversaw the Farm Transformation Map to guide the transformation of the agricultural sector in four areas — physical space, innovation, people development, and the larger broad ecosystem. This was done in consultation with progressive farmers representing various food farm types and academics who could help translate research in agricultural technology into practical implementation. Farm transformation efforts are ongoing to innovate, co-create and transform the sector through technology.

Previously as CFO of Zynga ($2.3 billion public company, Ticker ZNGA), David was responsible for leading the company’s finance and corporate development teams. David helped lead ZNGA from being majority web-based to mobile (in Q3 of 2015 69% of the business was mobile versus 36% when he started), driving mobile topline growth over 80% in one year (2014 vs. 2013). David delivered several quarters exceeding topline and bottom-line guidance and delivered the first quarter of positive net income since 2013.
Prior to Zynga, David led corporate finance for Best Buy during its turnaround in 2013, and previously led the take-private transaction of Del Monte Foods to KKR for $5.5 billion, resulting in over 40% return to shareholders. During his eight years at Del Monte, David led marketing, brand management, finance, strategy, and corporate affairs for the $2 billion brand. His prior experience includes PG&E’s turnaround, strategy consulting at McKinsey, venture capital investing, and advertising at the Leo Burnett Company.

Professor Subra Suresh is President and Distinguished University Professor at Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University. He was previously president of Carnegie Mellon University, director of the National Science Foundation (NSF), and dean of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s School of Engineering, where he is the Vannevar Bush Professor of Engineering Emeritus.
His research into engineered and biological materials has been published in more than 300 scientific articles and 25 patent applications, and it has led to scientific discoveries and technological applications at the intersections of engineering, sciences and medicine. Among his many honors are the Benjamin Franklin Medal of the Franklin Institute, the European Materials Medal of the Federation of European Materials Societies, the Timoshenko and Nadai Medals from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the National Materials Advancement Award.
Suresh has been elected to the National Academy of Inventors, to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and to the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, one of only a small number of Americans elected to all three branches. He has also been elected to the French, German and Chinese Academies of Sciences and a number of other engineering and/or science academies around the world.
He has received several presidential honors: Presidential Young Investigator Award from the Reagan White House; nomination by President Barack Obama and unanimous confirmation by the U.S. Senate to serve as the director of NSF; and the Padma Shri award from the President of India, one the highest civilian honors from the Indian government.

Professor Teo Yik Ying is Dean of the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore, and concurrently the iOmics Programme Leader at the Life Sciences Institute, and an Associate Faculty Member of the Genome Institute of Singapore.
Prof Teo majored in statistical genetics, having completed his doctoral training at the University of Oxford after obtaining a Distinction for his Masters in Applied Statistics at Oxford and graduating top of the cohort for in the Bachelor programme in Mathematics at Imperial College, UK. He pursued his postdoctoral training with the Wellcome Trust Center for Human Genetics, where he was concurrently appointed as a Lecturer at the Statistics Department in Oxford University.
A keen researcher by nature, Prof Teo has gained international recognition for his work in genomics, where his focus is in the development and application of mathematical and statistical techniques to understand the genetic causes of human diseases and genetic evolution in worldwide populations. He has conducted large scale genomic studies on populations from Africa, Europe and Asia, and currently chairs an international consortium investigating the genetic diversity of cosmopolitan and indigenous populations in Asia.
Prof Teo has served as the Director for the Centre for Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Research, where the Centre works closely with the Ministry of Defence to develop capabilities for disease surveillance, consultation and research to deter and to control potential infectious disease outbreaks. He was also the Founding Director for the Centre for Health Services and Policy Research, which approaches systems-level healthcare issues from a multidisciplinary perspective, connecting healthcare workers, patients, researchers, policy- and decision-makers to tackle complex themes in the fast-changing nature of health services delivery.
For his contributions and achievements to academic and public health, Prof Teo was the recipient of numerous awards, including the Singapore Youth Award (2011), the Young Scientist Award by the Singapore National Academy of Science (2010), the NUHS-Mochtar Riady Pinnacle Young Achiever Award (2015), and the Outstanding Young Persons of the World award in the category of Academic Leadership and Achievements (2015). He was also conferred numerous scholarships during his education, including the Public Service Commission scholarship (1997), the Shell Centenary Scholarship (2000), the Lee Kuan Yew Postgraduate Scholarship (2003) and the NUS Overseas Graduate Scholarship (2003). Mary Ann Tsao is the Chairman and Founding Director of the Tsao Foundation, a Singapore-based - but regionally oriented - non-profit operational foundation dedicated to aged care and ageing issues. Previously, she was also its CEO and President.
Tsao Foundation aims to address issues of population ageing, promote successful ageing and enhance wellbeing of older people at policy and practice levels by catalysing constructive change.
Dr Tsao serves on numerous boards and committees of government and non-profit organizations in Singapore as well as internationally. For her work on ageing, she received the Public Service Medal (PBM) in 2000, Public Service Star (BBM) in 2004, and Public Service Star (Bar) in 2015 from the government of Singapore.
Dr Tsao has also worked with numerous multilateral agencies, such as World Health Organization (WHO) Geneva office’s Ageing and Life Course unit, and has been a resource person and technical advisor to other UN agencies, such as UNESCAP (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for the Asia Pacific) and the ASEAN Secretariat.
A member of a business family, Dr Tsao is also involved with FBNA (Family Business Network Asia) as a Board Director as well as various family business and non-profit projects.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Dr Tsao is a US trained physician with a public health background, specializing in community and primary care planning and social medicine. She has extensive experience working with disadvantaged communities in the US and Singapore.

Dr Juergen Voegele was appointed Senior Director of the World Bank's Food and Agriculture Global Practice on July 1, 2014. In this role, he provides leadership on the Bank’s lending and knowledge activities spanning issues such as climate-smart agriculture, agriculture policy reform, food and nutrition security, and agriculture value chain development.
Dr Voegele is chair of the CGIAR System Council Board, which oversees agricultural research programs tackling poverty, food and nutrition security, and improved natural resource management around the world. Since 2016, Dr Voegele has served as co-chair of the Global Future Council of the World Economic Forum. He is also a member of the EAT Foundation Advisory Board since May 2017.
Since joining the World Bank in 1991, Dr Voegele has held a number of assignments, chairing the Agriculture and Rural Development Sector Board as well as the Environment Sector Board, leading the Agriculture Unit in China, the Agriculture and Rural Development Unit of the Europe and Central Asia Region, and the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of the World Bank (later recast as the Agriculture and Environmental Services Department).
Dr Voegele holds a PhD in Agriculture Engineering and a Masters in Agriculture Economics from the University of Hohenheim, in Germany.

Forest Whitaker is the founder and CEO of the Whitaker Peace & Development Initiative, co-founder and chair of the International Institute for Peace, UNESCO Special Envoy for Peace and Reconciliation, and a member of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Advocacy Group. Through WPDI, he has developed the Youth Peacemaker Network, a global peacebuilding social network with hubs in South Sudan, Uganda, and Mexico. Whitaker’s commitment to peace and social issues has led him to work closely with UNESCO. Mr Patrick Yu is the President of COFCO Corporation and Chairman of COFCO International.
Mr Yu joined COFCO in 1988 for agro-commodity import and export and set up COFCO’s futures business in 1992. He has worked as the General Manager and Chairman of COFCO Futures and made outstanding contributions to the development of Futures’ market in China. He joined COFCO’s senior management in 1999 as the Assistant President, and later Vice President and President in 2007.

Mr Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala is the Chairman and CEO of Ayala Corporation, one of the largest business groups in the Philippines. Ayala has interests in real estate, banking, telecommunications, water, power, industrial technologies, infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
Apart from his responsibilities on the boards of the Ayala group companies, Mr Zobel is a member of various international and local business and socio-civic organizations, including the JP Morgan International Council and the Mitsubishi Corporation International Advisory Committee. He is also Chairman of the Harvard Business School Asia-Pacific Advisory Board; the SMU Advisory Council in the Philippines, and Endeavor Philippines; and a member of the Harvard Global Advisory Council, the Global Board of Advisors of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Asia Society International Council, the University of Tokyo Global Advisory Board, and the board of trustees of the Eisenhower Fellowships, Singapore Management University, Children’s Hour Philippines, and the Ramon Magsaysay Awards Foundation. In 2010, he was bestowed the Philippine Legion of Honor, with rank of Grand Commander, for his outstanding public service to the country. In 2015, he then received the Order of Mabini, with rank of Commander, for his vital contributions during the Philippines’ hosting of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit. In 2017, he was recognized as a United Nations SDG Pioneer for his work in sustainable business strategy and operations. The first SDG Pioneer from the Philippines, he was one of ten individuals recognized for championing sustainability and the pursuit of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in business.
Mr Zobel graduated with a B.A. in Economics (Cum Laude) from Harvard College in 1981 and received his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration in 1987. He is married to Elizabeth Eder Zobel de Ayala and has four children.
