Who we are

Sustainability is at the core of everything we do at Temasek, and Ecosperity is our key platform for sustainability engagement and advocacy.

The word ‘Ecosperity’ twins ecology with prosperity, reflecting our belief that doing good and doing well can – and must – go together.

We work with global leaders from the private and public sectors, academia and civil society to exchange views, share best practices and push the agenda on sustainable development.

We do this through:

  • Ecosperity Week – Temasek’s annual flagship sustainability event
  • Ecosperity Conversations – focused dialogues throughout the year on sustainability megatrends and topics
  • Thought leadership & insights
  • Outreach activities – events, seminars and campaigns for the general public

Our Purpose

Through concerted partnerships with like-minded organisations, we aim to catalyse system-wide momentum for progress,  shaping Asia’s tomorrow with a shared vision of opportunity and prosperity.

Our Impact

Ecosperity has emerged as a significant platform for driving sustainable development and fostering innovative solutions to global challenges. The conference has catalyzed important discussions on climate action, sustainable urbanisation, and the circular economy, leading to tangible outcomes and partnerships. Through its thought-provoking sessions, networking opportunities, and showcase of cutting-edge sustainable technologies, Ecosperity has inspired numerous initiatives and collaborations across sectors.

Our History

Ten years ago, Ecosperity was launched as the world was still warming up to the business proposition of sustainability. The basis for the conference was that the pursuit of economic growth did not have to be mutually exclusive with the protection of ecology and the prioritisation of both planet and people. “Ecology” and “Prosperity” mutually reinforce the need for long-term resilience and sustainable value creation. We wanted to convene key decision makers across the public and private sectors who believed in the same vision and co-build a vibrant ecosystem that would turbocharge climate action and a just transition.

Every action and effort we undertake, whether big or small, counts towards a significant impact. But I believe that when we gather and partner others of the “coalition of the willing”, our individual efforts can have a multiplier effect, to shape the future we want for ourselves, and our  future generations.”
