Tyler Christie is Managing Director for Decarbonization Partners, a BlackRock and Temasek JV that invests in the next generation of innovative decarbonization solutions and businesses, to accelerate global efforts to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

Tyler has been an investor, entrepreneur and advisor focused on climate change for over 20 years. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2022, he was an investor and advisor at EQT focused on venture and growth stage climate technology investments. Tyler also co-founded Natural Capital Advisors, investing in over 15 climate technology startups and funds and advising global organizations on sustainability, and Parla, a digital startup recently acquired by Holland & Barrett.

Tyler started his career as a data scientist using satellite imagery to measure and monitor land use and climate change working across Africa, Latin America and Asia for Conservation International. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Geography from Middlebury College.
