Seonghoon Woo is the founding CEO of Amogy, driving its mission to decarbonise heavy industries through innovative ammonia-to-power technologies. Holding a PhD in Materials Science from MIT with a Minor in Finance, Seonghoon was recognised as Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia and Presidential Young Scientist in South Korea in 2018. Under his leadership, Amogy has raised more than $270M from top investors like Amazon, Aramco and Temasek, and achieved milestones like the world’s first ammonia-powered zero-emission vessel. Amogy has recently expanded its operations in Asia to accelerate the ammonia-driven clean energy transition in the region.
