In 2022 alone, extreme weather events - from the floods in Pakistan to heatwaves in Europe, hurricanes in the US and forest fires in Australia - have affected millions of lives and resulted in billions of dollars in damages.
Solving the climate crisis has been called "the moonshot of our generation". We need radical action and collaboration to avoid the worst effects of climate change on humanity. There have been strides in the right direction with commitments made, coalitions formed and developments in decarbonisation technology and international carbon markets, but geopolitical and economic crises threaten to impede climate progress.
Themed “Breakthroughs for Net Zero", Ecosperity Week 2023 gathered global business leaders, policy-makers, investors and civil society from across industries to address the high impact technology, policy and finance levers to bring about the transformational breakthroughs we need for our planet, businesses and communities.
The morning plenaries over three days focused on fast-tracking decarbonisation, enabling net-zero cities and financing Asia’s net-zero transition. The third day was anchored by the Financing Asia's Transition (FAST) Conference, jointly organised by BlackRock, the Monetary Authority of Singapore and Temasek.
As a convening platform, Ecosperity Week also featured a line-up of other thematically aligned events by like-minded partners in the afternoons. These breakout sessions took the form of panels, roundtables, workshops and pitch sessions, and provide a platform for more action-oriented dialogue and networking opportunities.
Ecosperity Week is a by-invitation event. Check out the highlights from this year's event below.

In 2023, we planted 8,090 trees in the Philippines on behalf of our speakers and moderators, as a token of appreciation for their time and contributions to Ecosperity Week. The trees were planted by EcoMatcher's tree-planting NGO partner in the Philippines.
