Milena Messori is heading the Corporate Finance and Global Activities Department at the European Investment Bank (EIB), which serves micro, small and medium-sized companies through a range of intermediated products, including investments in private equity, venture capital, impact and infrastructure funds, direct lending to corporates, project finance and advisory services, covering all emerging markets outside Europe. Milena joined the EIB in 2003 and has since covered various positions within the Bank, including Head of Division for Equity and Microfinance, Head of Unit for Product Development and Head of the EIB Bucharest Office. Prior to joining the EIB, Milena worked with the World Bank in Washington DC, where she was responsible for the financing of public sector projects in Eastern European countries. Milena holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Masters’ Degree in International Affairs from George Washington University.
