Enuma

Sooinn is co-founder and CEO of Enuma, a mission-driven organization devoted to designing accessible games and applications that help all children learn independently. Her company has received many awards including three Parents’ Choice Gold Awards for exceptional mobile applications downloaded by more than 6 million users worldwide.

Enuma’s latest project is Kitkit School, an open-source education application to help children in developing countries learn to read, write and do math independently. With innovative technology solution funding from KOICA, partnerships with NGOs and a local media company, Kitkit School is a finalist competing for the $15M Global Learning XPRIZE Competition by providing children with meaningful learning opportunities in remote areas of Kenya and Tanzania.

Sooinn was chosen as an Ashoka Fellow in 2017 for her on-going work and commitment to making quality education accessible to all children in the world.

Prior to starting Enuma, Sooinn led Project Injini from 2009 to 2012 where she designed and produced three award-winning assistive iPad applications for young children with special needs. Prior to Project Injini, she worked as an artist, game designer and corporate strategist in the video game industry for 12 years.
