James Lam has over 20 years of experience in the planning, design, supervision and management of large-scale infrastructure and reclamation projects including port and coastal infrastructure, reclamation, climate resilience and buildings.
He specialises in civil (geotechnical and coastal) engineering design, procurement and project management of the development of ports, wharves, land reclamation, control centre, infrastructure (roads, drains, sewers) including soil investigation, dredging, caissons, containment bund, soil improvement, shore protection, structures and pile foundations.
James is currently Chair of the Singapore Water Association Coastal Protection Chapter and is managing the various Climate Change Adaptation Studies in Singapore, which focuses on coastal and inland flood resiliency. He is also highly conversant with Contract Administration and Project Management and was awarded the Outstanding Project Manager Award 2022 (Special Project Category) by the Society of Project Managers Singapore.
James holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil & Structural Engineering from Nanyang Technological University.
