Electrification, industrial growth and reshoring, together with the rapid expansion of data centres and AI, is driving the fastest surge in power demand in decades; the International Energy Agency (IEA) projects global power demand to grow by at least 3.5% annually over the rest of this decade with Southeast Asia accounting for a quarter of this growth. Meeting this demand reliably, affordably, and sustainably is one of the defining challenges of this generation.

This panel will discuss how to rise to this challenge by taking a systems approach: using low-carbon energy sources, deploying energy efficiency innovations, and forming strategic partnerships.
