Derek is the Director of the Green Mark Department at the Building and Construction Authority (BCA). In this role, he drives strategic initiatives to promote sustainable building practices and leads a team evaluating projects under the Green Mark scheme, ensuring they adhere to high standards of sustainability.

Additionally, Derek serves as the Covering Director of the Quality & Certification Department at the BCA. Here, he spearheads the strategic planning of the CONQUAS programme to elevate construction quality standards in Singapore. The CONQUAS programme serves as Singapore’s national standard for assessing the construction workmanship quality of building projects.

Derek holds an MBA specialising in Real Estate and a degree in Environmental Engineering from the National University of Singapore.

As Executive Chairperson, Mikkel works with the Urban Partners leadership on the strategic direction of the company while supporting various strategic initiatives – all driven by the ambition to make Urban Partners the most competent investor in the Urban Value chain driven by a purpose of creating green thriving cities.

Mikkel co-founded the firm in 2005 and served as CEO until 2019. He is committed to proving that solving problems is a superior investment proposition and a firm believer in the commercial potential of transition capital. Mikkel plays an active role in the company’s advocacy work around promoting long-term stakeholder capitalism and has initiated such initiatives as LOTUF and has been chairing the Bloomberg Dynamic Cities Coalition.

Mikkel is also involved in incubating "non for profits": such as UN Live and the Human Practice Foundation and “for profits" such as The Glacial Rock Flour Company, and Home.earth. All initiatives are driven by a strong belief in the power of entrepreneurship in addressing problems in a systemic manner.

Mikkel holds a valedictorian B.Sc. in International Business from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. 

Giovanni Cossu is Head of Sustainability at CapitaLand Development (CLD), the development arm of CapitaLand Group.

Mr. Cossu's responsibilities encompass advancing CLD's green competency throughout the entire life cycle of building and precinct projects, as well as championing all sustainability initiatives and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) efforts.

Over his career, Cossu served as a sustainable development consultant in Singapore, China and Europe. In Singapore, Cossu led strategic sustainability initiatives and developments, and oversaw integration of net-zero, health, and well-being targets into various asset classes.

Among his achievements is Singapore's first new-build net-zero energy building, SDE4, located at the College of Design and Engineering (CDE), National University of Singapore.

Mr. Alvin Ee Wei Liang is a Research Fellow and a Program Lead with the Energy Studies Institute, National University of Singapore. He is the project lead of the Building Embodied Carbon Calculator and Mechanical and Electrical Carbon Calculator, which are modules under the Singapore Building Carbon Calculator which have been awarded the IES Sustainability award and the ASEAN Outstanding Engineering award.  He also lead the development of an embodied carbon calculator for Land Reclamation. Apart from developing localised evaluation tools, he supports the environmental impact assessment of various renewable power technologies and industry sectors.

Prior to his current appointment, he was a Research Associate with the NUS Environmental Research Institute (NERI), where he works on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) modelling on waste-to-material technologies as well as industrial symbiosis. Alvin was a Research Engineer from the Institute of Chemical & Engineering Sciences (ICES), A*STAR, working on LCA modelling and sustainability assessment for pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing. During his tenure at the Institute of Chemical & Engineering Sciences (ICES), A*STAR, he led the development of the CAISEN framework, integrating safety and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which was awarded the IChemE Safety award. 

He holds a Master’s degree in Safety, Health, and Environmental Technology from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Newcastle University. His research interest is in Life Cycle Assessment, Circular Economy and Decarbonisation strategies.

Keith oversees Temasek’s Ecosperity Office, the firm’s key platform for sustainability engagement and advocacy convening global leaders from the private and public sectors, academia and civil society to push the agenda on sustainable development. This includes Ecosperity Week, Southeast Asia’s biggest sustainability conference to drive policy and solutions-oriented discourse aligned with the firm’s strategic business priorities. 

Concurrently the firm's Director of Public Affairs, Keith is responsible for all aspects of strategic as well as deal-focused communications around Temasek’s sustainability and ESG-centred investment and corporate activities.   

A former news journalist with a passion for purpose-led storytelling, Keith is a strong advocate of transparency and authenticity in modern brand communications. He sits on the Advisory Board of the Sustainability Media Academy, a non-profit, first-of-its-kind platform that focuses on training the next generation of Asian media practitioners to tell the evolving climate story across the region. Keith was also a member of Alliance for Action on Corporate Purpose, led by Singapore’s National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre, to co-design and co-develop the National Framework and Blueprint on Corporate Purpose. 

William Low is Director, Real Estate Investments at Temasek. He is responsible for investment and portfolio management activities within the sector. He has been involved in investments across real estate equity, credit, and VC, spanning multiple geographies including US, Europe, and Asia.

William started his career with HSBC as a real estate investment banking analyst in Hong Kong and joined the real estate team of Temasek in 2013. 

Satinderpal is currently responsible for Smart Cooling Solutions at SP Group. Driven by the mission of "Empowering the Future of Energy”, Satinderpal has worked with various enterprises in the built environment to advance their sustainability goals through the implementation of SP’s innovative suite of sustainable energy and digital solutions, powered by artificial intelligence for the built environment.

Yvonne Voon is a Partner at Fifth Wall — the largest asset manager focused on improving, future-proofing, and decarbonising the built world — based out of the Firm's Singapore office. She is in charge of spearheading the Firm's growth in APAC, including LP Coverage and Capital Markets, as well as looking out for future investment opportunities in APAC.

Prior to joining Fifth Wall, Yvonne was heading up capital raising efforts at a leading APAC logistics platform, LOGOS Property. Yvonne also spent almost 15 years at Credit Suisse, where she was most recently the Head of Southeast Asia Real Estate within the Investment Banking and Capital Markets division. She also took on various roles in the Equities division in Singapore, London and Malaysia offices, including in Equity Research and Sales.

Yvonne was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and currently lives in Singapore. She graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia with a degree in Commerce.
