Huo Li is responsible for strategic engagement with business leaders and seeking transformational solutions through nature-based climate solutions (NbS) at The Nature Conservancy. She was Director of Climate Change & Energy at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) China from June 2020 to August 2021 where she led and developed the NbS strategy.

She has over 10 years of experience in the field of climate change and resilience building, having worked at institutions across Switzerland, UK, Canada and Australia. Before joining TNC, she was the National Programme Officer at Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and was also in charge of the Sino-Swiss cooperation project on climate change adaptation.

She is Co-author of TNC’s first publication on NbS and has also been engaged in the writing of various research reports focusing on NbS in China. 

Huo Li has a MA in Participatory Learning and Adult Education from East China Normal University.
